Hey. Its been a long time since I posted on this blog. What, 13 days? Hell. Been so busy with schoolwork. Havent even checked SGForums in over a few weeks. Just to say, I'm still going to do all those reviews and my take on the games. Just that they will take a long time. I hate Homework.

Mirrors Edge is set in a city ruled by a totalitarian regime, one where the transmission of information is closely monitored and restricted. The only way to share information freely is to use Runners. You control Faith, a Runner on a mission. Your sister has been framed for the murder of a politician, and you have to find out why he was murdered, who did it to free your sister, for she is a police officer, or 'Blues', and Blues in jail don't last long. The only clue you have a a piece of a journal with the word Icarus. The gameplay is fluid, unique. Its sort of parkour with extreme sports combined, with a little dose of firearms. The main combat style is hand-to-hand combat, for the firearms reduce mobility. Here comes the dilemma: Trade mobility for short-term firepower? I think it is up to you. It also differs in the sense that you can slide, vault and run along walls-in first person. You see your hands and legs as you run, giving a more realistic feel to the game. Graphically, it is better than Unreal Tournament 3, even though Mirrors Edge uses the same Unreal Engine 3. The cityscape, the buildings are heavily detailed, with alot of effort put into the textures. However, this results in high hardware requirements. Minimum: Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz 1GB RAM 256MB Graphical memory with Shader Model 3.0 (NVidia GeForce 6800 or Equivalent) Recommended: Core 2 Duo 2GHz or 100% Compatible Equivalent 2GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or greater, Shader Model 3.0, 512MB memory(Surprise, my 9500 is better or as good?) Overall, it is a fun game with a unique and interesting concept. However, the use of SecuROM DRM is just unacceptable. EA had better find a better replacement DRM software. Or just not put any at all. The Pirates have already broken just about every SecuROM installation. When EA uses SecuROM, those who buy the game may face complications with their Windows Installation, while the pirates dont have any problem at all. 4/5 because of the use of SecuROM For those who cant play Mirrors Edge, heres a Flash version, endorsed by EA themselves. Pictures! Again, why do publishers insist on the Any Key? I don't see it on my keyboard! Ooh, hanging from a helicopter with one hand. AWESOME! Oh shit, she's got a gun! Who's got the gun now? Policeman, meet my knee! DotD should be posted next week, due to me not having a PS2 to properly review it, and PCSX2 is going wonky.

Got Bio Assignment 2 today on STDs...Or sexually trans....you know what the hell that is. Our topic is Chlamydia. Since my class just borrowed all the books of Microbiology from out library, I have to make a trip down to NUS to borrow their books instead.......... This is the reason why I can't do many reviews, or even work on them. Too. Much. ****ing. Homework. I. ****ing. Hate. Homework.

Cant post my review of Mirrors Edge+DotD yet, cause my schedule is too packed with schoolwork. Realise I havent posted pics on GTA IV yet. Damn. Im supposed to do a report on media bias on the Olympics. Here the irony: Use newspaper artcles. Im supposed to use a newspaper article on media bias as my proof. What. The. Fuck? That, is so retarded. Unless Im supposed to use an article that has signs of bias, then yes. It is possible. I hate homework.
